About Vincent Pierre Duron, MD
Vincent Duron, MD is Co-Director of Fetal Therapy, Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Director of Pediatric Trauma and Surgical Critical Care.
He practices the full spectrum of pediatric general surgery. He is an expert in minimally invasive surgery, specializing in surgery for congenital anomalies, biliary atresia, lung anomalies, and pectus excavatum. He performs fetal surgery for various conditions, including fetoscopic repair of myelomeningocele/spina bifida and fetoscopic endoluminal tracheal occlusion (FETO) for congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
Dr. Duron is a well-funded surgeon-scientist. His research focuses on fluid optimization for critically ill children and fetal and neonatal diagnostics and surgery. He has received multiple research and teaching awards and is a frequently invited speaker, author, and reviewer. He is dedicated to global health and regularly returns to Iquitos, Peru, to train local surgeons in pediatric surgery.
