About Kemarut C. Laothamatas, MD
Dr. Laothamatas is a transplant pulmonologist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Her clinical and research interests focus on improving outcomes in lung transplantation through clinical research, clinical trials, and quality improvement initiatives. She is also Co-Director of the Telomere Biology Disorders Program, which provides specialized, multidisciplinary care for patients with telomere biology disorders, an increasingly recognized condition among patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD). Dr. Laothamatas is committed to providing compassionate, personalized, patient- and family-centered care throughout the transplant journey, both before and after lung transplantation.
