About Karie Danielle Keera Runcie, MD
Dr. Karie Runcie is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. She specializes in treating patients with genitourinary malignancies including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer and testicular cancer. Dr. Runcie is a translational and clinical trial investigator within the Genitourinary Oncology and Phase I Experimental Therapeutics group focused on developing and leading innovative clinical trials that bring new treatment options to patients. Her work centers on translating advances in cancer biology into effective therapies, particularly in the areas of immunotherapy and targeted treatments.Dr. Runcie received her B.A. in Biological Sciences and Sociology from Rice University and her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Columbia University where she served as Chief Fellow. She has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed articles in oncology.
