About Fatima A Estrada Trejo, MD
Fatima Estrada Trejo, MD is a double-board certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical center. She received her undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad de El Salvador, in El Salvador. Completed her residency training at Maimonides Medical Center, went on to complete a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and stayed on formally joining the Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound division for the first few years after fellowship training, during which time she became credentialed in OBGYN ultrasound. Dr Estrada Trejo, specializes in the care of high-risk pregnancies including women with medical complications and fetal anomalies. Her primary clinical and research interest include prenatal diagnosis, sonographic evaluation of fetal and placental malformations and fetal echocardiogram. Her interest also includes the management of surgically complex patients specifically patients with high order cesarean sections and those diagnosed with placenta accreta spectrum. Dr Estrada Trejo has presented at national conferences and published several book chapters. She is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member of the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, the International Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Association of Medical Ultrasound, and the Fetal Medicine Foundation.
