About Zaynah Abid, MD, MPH
Dr. Zaynah Abid is a pediatric emergency medicine physical and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (in Emergency Medicine) at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Her primary academic interest is in clinical research using large databases and emergency care of children with congenital heart disease. She is the PI of an ongoing research study examining the risk of deterioration in children with congenital heart disease in the pediatric ED. She has also published on the use of the PECARN head trauma rule in young infants.
Dr Zaynah Abid completed her MPH at Yale School of Public Health and medical school at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed both her residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.
