About Thomas Lipari, MD
Dr. Thomas Lipari is a neonatologist and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics practicing at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He received his M.D. in Medicine from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine and completed his Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Dr. Lipari is active in the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and maintains certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation. His professional interests focus on neonatal-perinatal medicine, quality improvement, and antibiotic stewardship in newborn care. He has an interest in improving outcomes for preterm infants and enhancing perinatal safety through evidence-based practice and system-level change. He is board-eligible in Pediatrics and Neonatal Medicine through the American Board of Pediatrics. In addition, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics for the Department of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and is a member of several performance improvement and morbidity and mortality committees. He was recently honored with the Mount Sinai Hospital Star Employee Award for his contributions to compassionate neonatal care and team-based clinical excellence.
