About Tarini Goyal, MD


Tarini Goyal, MD, is a neurohospitalist and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Following medical school at the University of Minnesota, she completed neurology residency and fellowship training as a neurohospitalist at Stanford Medical Center. Dr. Goyal's clinical expertise includes the care of acutely ill patients with neurologic disease, and those with neurologic complications of systemic disease. Dr. Goyal's research focuses on neuropalliative care education – how to train neurology residents indiscussing and improving quality of life for patients with serious neurologic illnesses. She is alsointerested in quality improvement and is experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams to improvesystems of care delivery for neurology patients. Dr. Goyal works closely with residents, medical students, and the interprofessional care team to optimally care for complex patients at NewYork-Presbyterian/Milstein and Allen Hospitals.
