About Nancyanne Schmidt, MD


Dr. Schmidt is an assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and attending physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.  She completed a research fellowship in the Laboratory of Immunoregulation at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), prior to medical school.  She completed her internal medicine residency training at NYU Langone Medical Center and rheumatology fellowship training at Columbia University. 

Dr. Schmidt is dedicated to providing culturally competent care for patients across the rheumatic disease spectrum. Her academic interests include Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, cutaneous manifestations of autoimmune disease, Pre Clinical Autoimmunity and health disparities in rheumatic diseases.
