Dr. Nahill Matari is an assistant professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and holds an additional subspecialty certification in neuroradiology. Dr. Matari specializes in both breast imaging and neuroradiology, with a specific clinical and research focus in head and neck imaging. He is also experienced in all aspects of breast imaging including mammography, ultrasound, and MRI, as well as interventional procedures such as stereotactic and MRI guided breast biopsies and preoperative image-guided localizations.Dr. Matari received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his internship at Yale-New Haven Health Greenwich Hospital, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, where he served as chief resident. He then completed fellowships at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, respectively. He has a strong background in medical education having successfully developed curriculums at the medical student and resident level, and he currently serves as an associate program director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Columbia and NewYork-Presbyterian.
