About Munther M. Queisi, MD, MPH
Dr. Munther M. Queisi is a neurologist specializing in neuroimmunology and neuroinfectious diseases. He is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Co-Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Excellence at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center.
Dr. Queisi earned his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts–Baystate and Neurology at the University of Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Neuroimmunology and Neuroinfectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and earned a Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
His clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of complex neuroimmunologic conditions, including multiple sclerosis, neurosarcoidosis, myelitis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, MOG antibody-associated disease, optic neuritis, and other autoimmune and inflammatory disorders of the nervous system. He takes a thoughtful, individualized approach to patient care, with an emphasis on accurate diagnosis, shared decision-making, and evidence-based treatment.
