About Lindsay Young, MD
Dr. Lindsay Young is board certified in diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology. She is an assistant professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and an attending physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. With expertise in minimally invasive procedures, she treats a wide range of medical conditions that include cancer, arterial and venous diseases, and men's and women's health. Some of her specific interests include the management and treatment of hepatic malignancy, uterine fibroids and pelvic congestion syndrome in women, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), as well as complex portal hypertension.
Dr. Young completed her medical training in Integrated Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC, where she served as chief resident. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Prior to her medical training, Dr. Young received a Bachelor of Science with distinction from the University of Wisconsin with majors in Genetics and Philosophy.
Dr. Young has presented her scientific research at national conferences and has authored numerous scientific research articles in national and international medical journals ranging in topics from management of complex hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), use of liquid embolic for peripheral arterial applications, as well as radial access techniques for peripheral arterial interventions. Additionally, Dr. Young is dedicated to promoting gender diversity in interventional radiology, as seen through her published articles and participation in mentoring aspiring medical students interested in this field.
