About Libby Levine, MSN, APRN, AGNP-BC, MSCN

Libby Levine, NP is a board-certified nurse practitioner in adult-gerontology primary care. She earned her master's degree in nursing from Columbia University and her undergraduate nursing degree from New York University. Prior to her nursing training, she completed a bachelor's degree in Government at Connecticut College.

Since 2015, NP Levine has worked at Columbia University's Multiple Sclerosis Center in New York, where she independently and collaboratively diagnoses, treats, and manages a wide range of neuroimmunological conditions. She works closely with Drs. Philip De Jager, Claire Riley, Rebecca Straus Farber, Sarah Wesley, and NP Erin Moynihan.

Her clinical and research interests include the intersection of women's health and MS, as well as the role of metabolic health in disease progression. In 2022, she was honored with the Nightingale Award from EMD Serono for her leadership of a support group for peripartum women with MS.

In 2023, NP Levine was named Clinical Operations Lead at the MS Center. In this role, she co-developed a Wellness Program for MS patients alongside NP Moynihan and Dr. Riley. The program employs a multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach to improve metabolic and emotional health, with the goal of slowing or reversing disability progression and enhancing quality of life. She is currently pursuing certification in Obesity Management to further support this work.

Patient Experience Rating

Current combined Rating
4.9 stars out of five. |56 ratings
The Patient Experience Star Rating represents how patients feel about the quality of their interaction with their Columbia provider during an office visit. This rating is derived from patient answers to four questions on a standardized experience survey, which is sent out to verified patients and administered by an independent third-party, Qualtrics. Responses are scored and converted to a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest rating.
  1. Did the provider explain things in a way that was easy to understand?
  2. Did the provider listen carefully to you?
  3. Did this provider show respect for what you had to say?
  4. How would you rate the provider on a scale from 0 to 10, with 10 being the best possible rating?
