About Joan R Bosco, MD
Dr. Joan Bosco is an assistant professor in the division of Infectious Diseases at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Her clinical interests include management of patients living with HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infections, viral hepatitis, PrEP/PEP and the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, as well as tropical medicine and general infectious diseases. She has a particular interest in LGBTQ and women's health, as well as refugee and immigrant health. Additionally, she is interested in medical education and teaching and curriculum development for trainees. She is board-certified in internal medicine. She was recently awarded the inaugural Scott M Hammer Fellowship, which provides funding for research and education opportunities in the treatment and prevention of HIV and related infections.
