Jessica Lynn Fiorelli, MD

Dr. Fiorelli's practice encompasses a broad range of women's health care including contraceptive management, pre-conceptual counseling, obstetrics, gynecologic issues such as abnormal pap smears, irregular bleeding, and polycystic ovarian syndrome, as well as gynecologic surgery and menopause management. She has a special interest in adolescent gynecology.Dr. Fiorelli chose the field of obstetrics and gynecology because it provides the unique opportunity to focus on the care of women across the lifespan. It is a specialty that allows her to play many roles—scientist, caretaker and surgeon. Dr. Fiorelli works hard to build lasting relationships with her patients. She encourages patient to take an active role in medical treatment decisions and values discussion and a team approach to care planning. Dr. Fiorelli is proud to practice at Columbia where the hospital is dedicated to excellence. Her patients receive individual attention and outstanding care from her entire team including the office staff, nurses, residents, and all of the partners in her practice. Being part of a world-renowned academic institution provides her patients with state-of-the-art resources and access to experts in every field. Dr. Fiorelli graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons as the highest achieving female student in her class. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the NewYork Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, where she was awarded the Resident of the Year Award in 2007. Dr. Fiorelli joined the faculty at Columbia upon completion of her residency. She is the mother of three young children, all of whom were delivered at Columbia.
