About Heedeok Han, MD
Dr. Heedeok Han is a nephrologist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the Director of the Polycystic Kidney Disease Center at Columbia University, which has been designated a Center of Excellence by the PKD Foundation. He leads multiple clinical trials in ADPKD and is actively involved in community outreach and patient education. In addition to his work in PKD, Dr. Han serves as the Co-Director of the CARE (Columbia Advanced Renal Education) Program, a multidisciplinary care initiative for patients with advanced chronic kidney disease. The program emphasizes culturally and linguistically concordant care and aims to improve transitions to dialysis and kidney transplantation.
