About Giora Weisz, MD
Giora Weisz, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and serves as the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. He graduated from the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem, Israel, and completed his residency in internal medicine and cardiology fellowship at the Carmel Medical Center in Haifa, Israel. Dr. Weisz finished his interventional cardiology training at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Weisz focuses on current and innovative technologies. His expertise includes novel robotic-enhanced coronary interventions, with a special emphasis on navigation and positioning technologies. He also has a keen interest in the management of incomplete revascularization, novel intravascular imaging, and strategies for preventing contrast-induced nephropathy.
