Evanthia Lalla, DDS

Dr. Lalla received dental degrees from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and from Columbia University in New York City, and a Masters in Periodontics from Columbia University. Upon completion of her specialty training in Periodontics, she joined the full time faculty at Columbia. She received University Tenure and is currently a Professor of Dental Medicine and the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Development at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.

Her research has primarily focused on the field of periodontal infections and their link with diabetes mellitus and atherosclerosis, and has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, as well as industry and foundations. She is the recipient of prestigious awards, including the Antony A. Rizzo Young Investigator Award from the International Association for Dental Research and the World Periodontal Research Award from the Sunstar Foundation for Oral Health Promotion. Dr. Lalla is the immediate past president of the Periodontal Research Group of the International Association for Dental Research. She has published several articles in high impact medical and dental journals and has lectured extensively in the United States and internationally.

Dr. Lalla provides services in all areas of periodontal and implant therapy.
