About Chantel Strachan, MD
Dr. Chantel Strachan is a board-certified internal medicine physician and a headache specialist. She attended the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, a combined Bachelor of Science and doctorate program, and subsequently received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. Dr. Strachan completed her residency in Primary Care Internal Medicine at The University of Connecticut, where she served as Chief Medical Resident. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Headache and Facial Pain at the Hartford Healthcare Headache Center. It was there she fostered a strong interest in headache medicine education and patient advocacy. She is expert in administering Botox injections for chronic migraine, as well as administration of nerve block and trigger point injections.
Dr. Strachan is passionate about preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and wellness. She takes pride in empowering patients to take charge of their health. A native New Yorker, she is a self-proclaimed foodie, who enjoys trying different cultural foods. She also enjoys dancing, baking, DIY Projects, and spending time with family and friends.
