About C. Anthoney Lim, MD
Dr. C. Anthoney Lim is a board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physician and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics (in Emergency Medicine) at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He has more than 15 years of experience caring for acutely injured and critically ill children.
Dr. Lim's research interests include pediatric asthma, prehospital care, trauma, observation and healthcare delivery. Dr. Lim's research focuses on the multi-disciplinary care of children with acute illness and injury, care coordination across multiple platforms and health care resource utilization. He developed innovative approaches to the care of children, such as Pediatric Hospitalization and Home, an emergency department-based High Utilizer Asthma Clinic and the Pediatric Short Stay Unit, which was the first observation-level care unit for children in the New York City region.
Prior to joining the faculty at Columbia, he has served on the faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Lim is a graduate of the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore, a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Jacobi Medical Center, and received a Master's in Clinical Research at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He currently practices in the Pediatric Emergency Department at the NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester.
