About Boris Fishman, MD
Dr. Fishman graduated summa cum laude from medical school at Ben-Gurion University, where he also completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) summa cum laude, specializing in public health research and pharmacoepidemiology. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at Sheba Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, focusing on geriatric cardiology. He subsequently moved to Columbia University Irving Medical Center for his fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. His clinical interests include heart failure, cardiac amyloidosis, cardiovascular disease in older adults, valvular heart disease, hypertension, heart transplantation and left ventricular assist devices.
Dr. Fishman has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, most of which are as the lead investigator. His works have been published in leading journals in medicine and cardiology, including New England Journal of Medicine Evidence, JAMA Internal Medicine, Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC): Heart Failure, Hypertension, Diabetes Care, and others. His research interests include heart failure, hypertension, geriatric cardiology, biological aging and longevity, frailty, and the pharmacoepidemiology of cardiovascular medications in older adults.
