Belkis Y Martinez, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Medical Psychology in the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Her research-practitioner focus is on addressing socio-structural and intersectional factors that impact mental health outcomes and patients' experiences of care across various health systems. Dr. Martinez is a licensed psychologist practicing primarily from an intersectional-relational psychodynamic lens, providing bilingual services in Women's Mental Health @Ob/Gyn. She specializes in working with complex trauma, reproductive mental health and PMADs, as well as comprehensive DBT.
