About Anlys Olivera, MD, PHD
Dr. Anlys Olivera is a dual-trained neuropsychiatrist who is completing training in neuroinfectious diseases at Columbia University. She completed a PhD in neuroscience at Emory University, where her work focused on neuroimmune interactions in major depression and the development of novel anti-inflammatory agents. Subsequently, she completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health focusing on neuroimmune contributions to the psychiatric sequalae of traumatic brain injuries in military personnel and professional athletes. She then completed medical school at New York University Grossman School of Medicine, followed by a combined residency in neurology and psychiatry at New York University Langone Healt,h where she received training in the care of neurological and psychiatric symptoms associated with autoimmune encephalitis.
