About Amanda Chan, MS, CGC
Amanda Chan is an ABGC board-certified genetic counselor in the department of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Her clinical focus includes adult-onset hereditary neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, and Parkinson's disease. In her research work, Amanda counsels study participants with a personal and/or family history of Alzheimer's disease for family-based research studies.
Amanda graduated from Swarthmore College with a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies and completed her genetic counseling masters training at Columbia University. Amanda is also involved with Columbia University's Genetic Counseling Program and works as a fieldwork supervisor and research committee member.
