About Adomas Bunevicius, MD, PhD
Adomas Bunevicius, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in the Division of Neuro-Oncology within the Department of Neurology.
Dr. Bunevicius earned his medical degree from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences in 2008 and his PhD from Tilburg University in the Netherlands in 2012. He completed residency training in neurosurgery at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, followed by fellowship training in image-guided neurosurgery for brain tumors at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and radiosurgery at the University of Virginia, where he focused on the treatment of patients with primary and metastatic brain tumors.
He subsequently completed residency training in neurology and fellowship training in neuro-oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medicine before joining the faculty at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Bunevicius is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Society for Neuro-Oncology, and the American Academy of Neurology. He is dedicated to advancing the field through clinical research, mentoring the next generation of physicians, and providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with brain tumors.
