About Daniel Tagerman, MD
Daniel Tagerman, MD, MS, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery, with a focus on bariatric and hernia surgery. He is also board-certified in obesity medicine.
Dr. Tagerman earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, then completed his internship and general surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. He went on to complete a fellowship in Advanced GI and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT.
Clinically, Dr. Tagerman is particularly interested in applying minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques to bariatric surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction. His research has focused primarily on abdominal wall reconstruction, surgical technique, and surgical education and training.
