About Allison Beth Levey, MD
Allison Levey, MD is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist who provides comprehensive care for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease. She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, family-centered care and believes in partnering with patients and their families to ensure they understand their child's diagnosis, treatment options, and long-term heart health.Dr. Levey earned her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Princeton University before receiving her Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in pediatric cardiology at the same institution. This extensive training provided her with expertise in diagnosing and treating a broad range of pediatric heart conditions, from common concerns to complex congenital heart disease.Dr. Levey cares for children with heart murmurs, chest pain, palpitations, dizziness and fainting (syncope), high cholesterol, and congenital heart defects. She also has expertise in fetal cardiology, helping diagnose congenital heart disease before birth and guiding families through pregnancy and delivery planning. She is committed to making complex medical information easy to understand, ensuring families feel informed and supported throughout their child's care.In addition to caring for patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, Dr. Levey sees patients at several community locations throughout the region, making expert pediatric cardiology care more accessible to families. She has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in both New York and Connecticut for many consecutive years, reflecting her commitment to clinical excellence and outstanding patient care.Dr. Levey is also actively involved in physician education, quality improvement, and community outreach. She mentors pediatric residents and cardiology fellows, helps develop clinical care guidelines, and volunteers with organizations that provide heart screenings for young athletes and children. Her research has focused on improving the prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease, helping families receive timely care and improving outcomes for babies born with heart conditions.
